Happy Aloha Friday everyone! I got a little bug from traveling and the gloomy weather just set the mood for blogging while in my pjs. I spent an entire week on Oahu and wanted to share my relaxing stay at The Laylow, Autograph Collection, located in Waikiki. I’ve had the pleasure of checking out this charming space sometime last year and I fell in love with the ambiance almost immediately. Convenience plays a major role whenever I book a place to stay and The Laylow’s prime location is absolutely perfect. It’s a short stroll to the beach, shops, and public transportation is available right outside. If you’re not in the mood to brave the crowds of Waikiki and would like to stay within the hotel property, The Laylow has their own Hideout restaurant/bar, pool (it’s a saltwater pool, ooh!) and gym. The open layout of the lanai is inviting and the corner seating areas make you want to just pick up a book (or drink) and chill. All you really need to do is walk out of your hotel room and everything you need is in one place! My favorite spot here is the saltwater pool. I’m obsessed with the lounge chairs that are partly submerged in the water. If chillin’ is your vibe, this place is for you.
Ok, so here’s my second most favorite thing: the room…the super comfy king size bed, wallpaper, the bathroom, the furnishings….EVERYTHING! I’m blown away by the midcentury modern design with island influences. I recently got engaged to my fiancé and took our announcement photo here. The wallpaper makes a great backdrop for photos so how can you not take a selfie or two? 🙂 The Laylow truly feels homely and I actually miss it! A huge mahalo to the Laylow and their team for providing a great place to lay low (see what I did there? haha!) and for making our stay memorable. We will be back. ❤️
